Surveying Team

As a Chartered valuation Surveyor, Jim oversees all the surveys we undertake and joined Criterion in 2009. He qualified with an honours degree in Urban Estate Surveying from Nottingham Trent University. He joined Robert Shaw & Partners, Chartered Surveyors, in Guildford in 1984 and became a Partner. Jim became a partner of Vail Williams when the two firms merged in 2004. Over 30 years Jim has dealt with residential and commercial valuation, agency, rent reviews and lease renewals.

Ian commenced his insurance career with Crawford & Company in 2002 overseeing a large part of the Contractor Managed Network, Repairnet. Ian moved into loss adjusting with Royal & Sun Alliance in 2007 as an internal loss adjuster handling a portfolio of Mid and High Net Worth losses throughout the South East of England. Ian gained CII and BDMA accreditation and has wide experience including surveying and fraud detection. Ian joined Criterion Surveyors in June 2017 and undertakes surveys throughout the country.

Willow started her real estate career in 2001 at Chestertons working in their Central London residential developments team. She moved into commercial property when King Sturge headhunted her team in 2003 and she qualified as a chartered surveyor in 2008. Since then, following the merger with JLL, Willow has had experience in a variety of real estate sectors across EMEA. She has a keen interest in residential property and joined Criterion in 2023, where she is responsible for desktop surveys.
