Philip Lowe

Following a short career in the Royal Artillery and selling houses in central London Philip Lowe started on a career as a management surveyor with a major property PLC dealing with commercial and residential property management including lease renewals, rent reviews, arbitration submissions and portfolio valuations.

In 1994 Philip started an agency with a large rural insurance company based in Norwich dealing with all types of insurance policies including estates, large farms, high net worth properties and private client portfolios. He also provided a valuation service for his private clients in respect of high net worth residential properties and residential estate portfolios.

In 2004 Nelson & Co was set up providing a valuation and appraisal service for major insurance companies in the UK specialising in the valuing and risk appraising of high net worth properties both in the UK and in Europe with particular emphasis on listed properties and contemporary properties. Nelson & Co are retained consultants for two of the largest high net worth insurance companies in the country and are also consultants for Criterion Adjusting. Nelson & Co have carried out valuations and appraisals on stately homes, grade 1 listed houses, modern executive properties as well as other high net worth properties throughout the UK and Europe.

Luke Macdonalds

Luke Macdonald is a Fellow of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors and in December 2006 he started working as a Consultant for Criterion under James's direction undertaking risk assessment and rebuild surveys.

Lou Corners

Following completion of a Surveying Degree in 1977, Lou entered into Private Practice and became Chartered in 1979.

In 1980 he joined a firm of International Chartered Loss Adjusters, specialising in Building Claims and eventually, in 1990, went back into Private Practice, working for himself since then.

The Practice carries out a full range of Quantity, Building and Valuation Surveying for both Private and Corporate Clients.

In addition, Lou undertakes Expert Witness work for the Courts, covering all aspects of building problems/ defects, usually associated with Insurance Claims.

Mark Dunscome

Mark started his career in Bristol in 1980 working for a Fine Art Auction business. Thereafter he studied surveying and chattels valuation at Southampton College (now University).

After leaving college he gathered experience in Cornwall prior to moving to London and within two years, he set up a general Fine Art Auction house. Following the success of this business, Mark decided to relocate to Devon where he pursued his interests in fine art and project managed the restoration of a Grade II Listed town house and then an early 17th Century court house, as well as being an advisor on other similar projects.

He has been providing risk appraisal and rebuilding valuation for the high net worth market for the past five years including large Scottish estate properties and similar properties throughout England and Wales.

Glenn J Cleaver

Glenn gained Chartered status from the Institution of Civil Engineers in 1987. From 1991 until 1995 he was employed as regional engineer with Miller Fisher Loss Adjusters and he was in charge of their Watford (North London) Subsidence Unit handling subsidence claims on behalf of various insurance companies. The claims were dealt with either on a 'traditional' basis, ie utilising an approved external engineer or on a 'project managed' basis.

In 1995 Glenn established Redbourne Consultants. He continued to act as a consultant for Miller Fisher on a part-time basis until 2001 and since 1995 he has also acted as a consultant for The Peter M Olley Partnership, Chartered Civil and Structural Engineers.

As a practice Redbourne Consultants predominantly deal with subsidence and general building damage claims and since 1995 they have received in the region of 600 claims to investigate and project manage. As a consultant, on average, Glenn handles around 100 new subsidence claims per year and over the last 17 years he estimate that he has been involved with or provided advice on 1300/1400 claims.

Glenn regularly act as a Party Wall surveyor and is fully conversant with the Party Wall etc Act 1996.
