Having left University with an Honours degree in History, Jonathan initially pursued a career in education and then as a rainforest expedition leader. Jonathan subsequently opted to pursue a career in Loss Adjusting in 1991 whilst living in Devon where he received comprehensive training in the handling of domestic and commercial claims. Jonathan made swift progress with professional studies and examinations and was elected to the Senior Council of the local Chartered Insurance Institute in 1993, prior to moving to Bath in 1995 in order to pursue a career advancement opportunity. Jonathan is a qualified member of Associateship of the Chartered Institute of Loss Adjusters.

During the ensuing years, Jonathan gained further considerable experience in both domestic Household and commercial claims and frequently undertook Surveys on behalf of Instructing Principals. Jonathan now has specific expertise in handling High Net Worth losses and complex commercial claims. Jonathan rose to the position of Senior Adjuster within a busy Bristol Adjusting office during which time he was required to train fellow colleagues and staff from Instructing Principals offices. This resulted in Jonathan forming strong relationships with both Brokers and Insurers alike.

In early 2002, Jonathan was requested to open a new office in Bristol for his employers. Within a short period this proved to be most successful with a rapid expansion in staff numbers under Jonathan's guidance. During this time whilst managing this new office, Jonathan was responsible for dealing with major losses and he also specialised in High Net Worth, Subsidence, Pre and Post Risk Survey work. Jonathan was involved in auditing all claim files and was the nominated adjuster selected to deal with various prestigious accounts, such as The Royal Bath & West Showground.

In January 2006 Jonathan opened a new office for Criterion Adjusters Ltd in Bath and is particularly excited at the prospect of joining this progressive and expanding business. Jonathan is keen to continue to offer the best possible service to existing and new principals and will bring invaluable experience and expertise to the company.
